- In Matthew 23 Jesus is very harsh with the Pharisees, calling them hypocrites for making laws they wanted other people to follow but did not follow themselves. How do you react to someone who is acting like a hypocrite, telling people to do one thing while choosing to do the opposite, themselves?
- When thinking about the end of the world, some people are excited to see Jesus come in His glory while others are more fearful as they think about many scary events happening then. Do you look forward to Jesus coming while you are still alive, or would you rather he come after you have died?
- What is something you would like to do or accomplish before Jesus comes back at the end of the world?

8th Science - balancing chemical equations. These equations are due Monday (4/23):
Potassium oxide with water converts into potassium hydroxide
K2O + H2O ® KOH
Magnesium will react with phosphorus to form magnesium phosphide
Mg + P 4 ® Mg3P2
Hydrogen and nitrogen react together to produce ammonia gas
N2 + H2 ® NH3
Ethane + Oxygen ® Carbon Dioxide + Steam
C2H6 + O2 ® CO2 + H2O
Carbon dioxide and hydrogen form ethanol and water
CO2 + H2 ® CH4 + H2O

7th Science - SAT testing
7th Religion - Question over Matthew 22
7th Religion - Question over Matthew 22
- One of the customs of weddings at the time of Jesus was that the host would provide nice clothes for the guests. What are some customs at weddings these days that you think are very meaningful and why?
2. Jesus said the greatest commandment was to Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, strength... Explain why this commandment might be 'better' than some of the other good commandments God gave us.
3. The question about paying taxes really has to do with whether we should obey a government we don't agree with. How do you think we should handle situations when we don't agree with our U.S. government?

Matthew 28
- One of the first things Jesus said to his disciples after He rose from the dead was, “Do not be afraid.” Why do you think Jesus said this? What would the disciples be afraid of? What should they do instead of being afraid?
- The Pharisees circulated a story about Jesus being stolen instead of rising from the dead. Some people today believe this is really what happened. What if the story was true? What would you do if Jesus didn’t really rise from the dead on Easter?
- The Great Commission at the end of Matthew says we should make disciples and teach people what Jesus taught. How do you think we are doing, as a church, at teaching and making disciples? How are you doing personally at teaching and making disciples?
