7th Science - We are looking at different types of plants and deciding on one that we can grow in the classroom this year. Seeds or seedlings need to be in class by Friday, April 5.

 7th Religion - Pretest over Matthew 27. Discussion questions due Thursday.


1. What part of the last week of Jesus' life stands out most to you?  Why?  Palm Sunday, Last Supper, Gethsemane, Jesus on Trial, The Crucifixion, Resurrection, something else...
2. How do you think the story of Barabbas ends?  Does Barabbas change his ways because of his release, or continue to do the things that got him in prison?  Why do you think this?
3. How will you celebrate this Holy Week - how do you praise God while remembering the suffering Jesus went through?

  1. What things should we always be prepared for?  What things do you not feel prepared for and how can you get more prepared?
  2. In the Parable of the Talents, the master gave his servants resources to invest and multiply on behalf of the master.  What resources has God specifically blessed you with which you can invest and multiply on His behalf?
  3. Who are the people that are hardest for you to love, the people that require the most extra effort to care about?  How can you be a blessing to those people as well as the people who are easier to love and care for?

15. Both forms of bacteria help plants grow.  Nitrogen-fixing bacteria supply plants with nitrogen, and decomposers supply plants with nutrients.
16. In the lytic cycle, the virus immediately reproduces after infecting the host.  In the lysogenic cycle, the virus inserts its genes into the host cell.  The host cell divides several times before viruses begin their lytic cycle.

7th Science - We debated whether viruses should be considered living organisms or not.  Students summarized their side by writing reasons on a virus crystal.



7th Religion - We took the quiz over Matthew 14 & 15.  We will study Matthew 25 & 26 next week preparing us for Holy Week.
